Roses are, I believe, the most famous and popular blooms on earth. We can see them not only in gardens and vases, appearing in abundance during Valentines, but are also adorning fabric and furniture designs.
Although I am not a romantic in nature, I really adore shabby chic room graced with rose designs. Such rooms make me feel cool, calm and simply contented. And I do love Cath Kidston’s classic designs such as this:
And Ikea Rosali, a much-loved design occasionally appearing at Ikea, rumoured to have been designed by Cath Kidston before she became famous :

Her mugs are sold at about RM90++ (4 pieces in a box), and her elegant notebooks in the Times Bookstores are beyond my usual ‘notebook budget’ . So, what are these doing in Kaison at a mere RM3.50?

Do you think they are knock-offs – despite the printed brand name? Or old/surplus stock from somewhere? My personal opinion – they are not knock-offs but rejected items due to their inferior quality, they brittle magnificently. Doesn’t matter though, I bought one of the last 2 remaining slightly-chipped (here and there) ‘rose mugs and one perfect polkadot mug. As a keepsake and just to see how long they’d last…:D
