In my previous article, I have introduced my humble Precious Moments collection – the Graduate, Winter Wishes, Tender and Sew in Love. They were all pre-loved (used) items acquired through some bidding in Ebay. Pre-loved items are cheaper than the new ones, so obviously that’s why I chose them. Anyway, they they look just as lovely as the new ones.
My first item was the Graduate. Now, my collection has expanded to (I named them myself) Home for the Holidays (ornament), 2 wall plates, the ‘Reading Couple‘ and ‘May Only Good Things Come Your Way’.
The wall plates, unfortunately, chipped at the edge due to rough postal handling and so I had to be creative and added the ribbons and flowers. I can still remember the day when I collected them at the Post Office and heard the sound of a thousand shattered pieces! I almost cried. They are from the Christmas Series of 1987 and 1989. The Ebayer where I bought it from was so generous that she returned 50% of the sale price back to me, even though it was not her fault at all.
Of all the items, I am most attached to the Reading Couple. The look so contented to be together, so peaceful. My aim is to collect more such couples or family themed items later. These PM items are very, very expensive (and the postage could be more expensive than the items themselves, not to mention the risk of lost and breakage) but they are worth keeping forever.
