I purchased my Janome Harmony 2049 sewing machine way back in 2006. Since then till now, I have only brought it for service at the Epal centre twice. I use it only occasionally, and for me, it’s perfect. It’s easy to use, portable and handy to have around the house. So far, my Janome sewing machine has helped me to make 3 curtains, a few simple totes, a simple sofa cover, coasters, simple mending, etc. Roughly speaking, I guess I only use it about once or twice a month.
Lately, in my quest to broaden my crafting horizons, I have been quite zealous at getting myself better acquainted with my sewing machine. And I am learning to clean/service it myself -to save cost and time. After looking at several tutorials in YouTube, I think this is the most suitable tutorial for my Janome Harmony 2049 sewing machine:
Unfortunately, something else is wrong with my sewing machine. So, I need to take it to the Epal Centre. For those in Kota Kinabalu, please note that Epal have moved from Wawasan Plaza to Karamunsing Capital. The new address is:
F-0-7 & F-1-7, G Floor & 1st Floor,
Block F, Lorong Capital Karamunsing,
88300, Kota Kinabalu Sabah.
Tel: 088-447 066 / 016-8311298
Fax: 088-447 220
Happy sewing everybody!
p/s : Turned out that I only need to push one tiny thing near the bobbin case to make it running smoothly again. The staff at Epal was so nice & helpful, my problem was solved in only 5 minutes – and at absolutely no charge! And it seemed that I did a good job at servicing/cleaning my sewing machine that she said it required no servicing at the moment. I was ecstatic! 😀
