BYE BYE 2011, HELLO 2012

December 30th, 2011

Time slips by so silently and dear me, I almost let 1 month go (again) without any post – without any crafting!  December is hectic, so many ‘closings’, when I am in the mood for holidays.  It has been a challenge going to the office, I want so much to spend time with the kids, doings things that they enjoy.  We managed to squeeze in a few family moments and those  are better than any out-of-town vacations!

Anyway, crafting activities were less, only a crocheted bag, but what a handy thing it is!  I keep on-going craft items and some music sheets in them and take the bag along with me almost everywhere! So light and striking!  To think that I have let those yarns languish everywhere around the house for years! The yarns was so thick that I have not been abe to get suitable hook to work on them.  Luckily, I found the huge hook at Daiso at only RM5!  Great fun crocheting with thick yarn, the result was achieved so quickly!

No embellishment at all.  Sweet and simple.

And I take this opportunity to wish everyone a ‘Happy, Happy New Year’ and let’s work towards a better future for this earth.

Hair Clips Galore!

November 18th, 2011

I had the most fun crafting during the recent blackout at my home.  I made hairclips in the living room with the front doors wide open from about 4pm until sunset. And, to my delight, my eldest son was curious enough to learn this craft.  Frankly, I think, he was itching to try sealing the ends of the ribbons with the lighter.

The pattern for this gorgeous peony flower is courtesy of Yoonie At Home . Her instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the photos are wonderful to look at.  Thanks a lot Yoonie!

I did so much more, but I despair trying to adjust the settings of the camera – hubby was not around to help. So, my photos are terribly blurry… :D
