Come and join millions in observing Earth Hour 2014 tomorrow, Saturday, 29th March 2014 from 8.30pm – 9.30pm (local time).
I read in the papers that there are many activities being arranged around Kota Kinabalu in conjunction with Earth Hour. Resorts, hotels, shops and restaurants will be switching off non-essential lights and implementing other energy-saving measures. There will also be beach clean-ups held on Mamutik Island. I hope less traffic will be on the road – that should at least save fuel.
Like the previous years, my family will be sitting at home, watching a family movie in the dark. Lights will be off at 8.30pm until after the show ends, usually about 2 hours later, depending on the movie length. We would also be eating dinner in the living room and having a wonderful time together. But absolutely no crafting for me. 😀
May all of us have a meaningful Earth Hour with our loved ones tomorrow! 😀
