Most crocheters and knitters have leftover yarns in their stash, and they rarely ever throw them away unless they have to. If you are one of those, and you also have leftover felt (if you don’t – ask your kids, they may have some), you could recycle your yarns and felt and make this wonderful kitten/cat toy for your pet or as a gift to somebody who has active feline at home. It’s simple, really, and I was inspired to make this by One Happy Place.
Her instructions are pretty straight forward and I substituted ‘twine’ with leftover yarns. It took me less than an hour to finish my kitten toy. For me ‘braiding’ was the most time consuming.
So, I let my boys dangle it before the kittens.
And after a few plays :
Now, the kittens have managed to undo the tie and the strips are scattered in the kittens’ basket – they love to lie on them.
I need to make a new one soon. 😀
