I haven’t done much cross stitching this week, nor last weekend, due to birthday parties on Saturday and tooth ache on Sunday. But I did manage to do a bit during last week’s weekdays. They are not in my 2013 Cross Stitching Plans, but they are spur-of-the-moment decisions that I am in the crazy habit of making.
I want to stitch ‘Home Sweet Home’ underneath the houses and the cupcake. It’s a simple design that should finish in a few more hours. All I need to do is to snatch some hours from the commercial breaks during my favourite tv series such as Downton, Suits, Bunheads and Covert Affairs. I watch the reruns during the weekend. How I wish it’s IHSW every weekend!
I got the chart from the above Cross Stitch Crazy Issue 165 (July 2012) and stitched it on a 14ct DMC Impressions Aida (Pink Stripe) which I bought last year from an exciting Ebay Store called Stitcher’s Coven. I love visiting the store, at least to ‘cuci mata‘ (something like window-shopping). But I substituted the DMC floss with my own colour choices, as I don’t have the time to buy the actual floss at my usual craft store in Kota Kinabalu town.
The above is another design I am yearning to finish soonest possible. It’s tiny, but probably require more than 10 hours. But it’s so adorable, I just have to do it!
The chart and the card are from Cross Stitcher magazine, Issue 252 (May 2012). If you haven’t already visited their site, you must do it soon as their ‘The Making Spot‘ is filled with gorgeous ideas that are simply mesmerizing, not to mention the wonderful free charts available!
Maybe it would take me more than 20 hours….? It’s supposed to be for Father’s Day in June, but why wait that long? Any day is Father’s Day when we love him so much!
And I am also stitching Tatty Teddy Story Time, which may take forever… But that’s another story.
Happy Stitching this weekend, my dear stitching friends!:D
