Ramadhan has arrived and I’m excited to expand my horizons! 😀
And with the various colours of budget yarns, I made these little flowers which is easily interchangeable. So, 1 headband, with a few looks! I am currently working on another headband and flower, so that with 2 headbands and 3 flowers, I can get 6 looks!
Then I also made these little handphone cases and some more – using yarns of various different colours, textures and thickness – and managed to sell one of them at a Bazaar recently. I sold my first crochet items at first try – yeay!
Honestly, after deducting the costs, etc, I didn’t make any profit, but it was fun and a confidence-booster as I didn’t expect to make a sale at all! I hope the person who bought it will be very happy using it.
And I also made these fabulous-looking bottle carrier. This particular bottle carrier has accompanied me to the badminton court and also walks at Perdana Park. The little one is still incomplete – but the bulky yarn of this colour is totally finished. I think I’m going to use a different colour to complete the 750ml Bottle Carrier. I definitely want to get more of this type of bulky yarns – they are great for making big things at a short amount of time. I made the big one (1.5L Bottle Carrier) in less than an hour even while figuring out the design stitches as I crochet.
Right now, I’m working on a little lapghan which I believe would be a comfy toddler’s blanket or a small blanket for the lap or shoulders which would be handy in the cold cinemas. Just don’t know when it’ll be finish.
That’s all the crafting activities that I can share for now. This month, I’m hoping to do lots of baking of Raya cookies and lots, and lots, of exploration of my inner-self. What have you planned for yourself this Ramadhan?
