I have been so lazy! No updates, no new posts and comments have been left unanswered for months! But I won’t take down this site because it’s my crafting journal – it will stay for as long as Hubby is willing to support all the costs involved.
I blame it on Facebook and Instagram. FB and IG have made it so easy to share my casual crochet and knitting episodes that I find blogging hard. Nonetheless, today, I am prompted to push myself to write because I have a great news to share!
I have a niece! My sister has successfully caught up with me and now we both have 5 children, consisting 3 sons and 2 daughters each. Isn’t that marvelous? And that has motivated me to finish my first knitted baby blouse.

Sweet Baby Azizah modelling my first-ever knitted baby blouse
Admittedly, it was supposed to be a dress. But I knew that if I stick to the pattern and continue working on a dress at the same snail pace, baby Azizah would outgrow the outfit. So, I decided to keep it short. And to make up for the lack of length, I added some crocheted florals. I bought the pattern from Ery from Da’Knit and referred to her video tutorials on YouTube. Without her video tutorial, I would be lost.
And I have kept myself committed to doing only 2 projects at a time. Problem is – I got more than 2 wips! Therefore, I have to choose. One of the wips that is brought back to life is this lovely shawl:

A Crocheted Shawl in Progress
Progress has been embarrassingly slow since March 2017. As such, I am determined to press on with this until completion because if I stop, I know I would forget all the tricks and tips of the complicated pattern. And I would also have to refer to the video all over again, which will consume much time, and involve lots of mistakes. By the way, I got the pattern from a video tutorial on YouTube. Thank you, Oana! Now, I am on the 2nd skein of Alize Diva (silk effects) yarn.
Of course, I couldn’t resist purchasing new yarns! Being a working woman again has made it so easy to indulge on online shopping. So, those will be tucked somewhere out of sight for a while. I am lying, obviously. There’s a new hat in progress, as well.
