I have absolutely no skill at drawing and painting. The last time I painted was 25 years ago. My daughters can draw better looking kittens than me. But now that I have the free stamp set, I need to do some colouring. I can’t just stamp and let it be, surely, I am not such a coward!
I did the stamping on my 2013 Planner, intentionally, for remembrance of my first attempt. I sucked at stamping! Had to do it twice, so it looks like the poor Bear Santa was shivering.
Since I can’t handle water colour, I decided to use the next best thing – I asked for my kids’ water colour pencils. Nobody can find them! School holidays – a time when kids lose their stuff so that they can get new ones next semester. Never mind, I went to Harris bookstore and bought myself a small one, a Staedtler, as an experiment. There were the 36 water colour pencils by Faber Castell, buy way too expensive for an experiment.
Next, I searched for a paint brush. Luckily, I had a chinese paint brush hidden in the living room cabinet since forever. I say lucky because I forgot to buy one when I was at Harris. Once I had the paintbrush, I didn’t wait. Immediately, I started colouring and finished within minutes, while I was also watching Grimm on Diva Universal.
This is the end-result of my ‘painting’ :
Really, this is better than all my other water colour efforts! I love these water colour pencils! Notice the extra outlines….? Clumsy stamping.
