Hello! How was your weekend last week? Did you manage to do much of your favourite things? Mine was great! I did some crocheting and stitching. It was IHSW last Friday – Sunday, so I know there were many kindred spirits out there who also did their stitching.
Remember ‘Somebunny To Love‘ that I wrote about in my previous post? Well, I started stitching on Saturday, and did some more on Sunday. I almost missed signing up for IHSW – I only remembered to do it on Friday night. 😀 I have planned to stitch since last week, and IHSW was really on my mind most of the time, but I always forgot about signing up for it.
So this was the progress on Friday, before I started stitching :
Yup, basically, no progress at all since my last posting. It took me some time to digest the chart and I was kinda hesitant to follow the instruction because it stated to use 1 strand of floss (except on the pinkish nose part) although the fabric is a 14-ct Aida. I believe that a 14-ct Aida calls for at least 2 strands of floss. But after a few minutes of thinking, I decided to follow the experts and stick to the chart.
So here’s where I got to, so far:
Rather hard to see, right? Especially the white part, and that’s what worried me, a bit. However, I am sure that once the backstitching starts, everything will come into place, hopefully…. :-]
Anyway, I would also like to share a shot of my new Q-Snap, recently purchased through Ebay. It’s wonderfully light, easy to assemble and helps me to keep my stitching taut and neat.
About the crochet project – I shall write something about it in my next posting. I’m rushing to post this in adherence to IHSW rules to do the posting the following Monday or Tuesday (which I have failed to do a few times). If I don’t, my weekday schedule will get in the way and I may only be able to post this on Wednesday, if I am lucky.
I hope everyone have had a wonderful weekend. Cheerio everybody and have a great day! 😀
