Hooray! I have done it! Despite all the rain, the busy start of the Malaysian school term, housework, laundry, job, a painfully embarrasing fall and the kids’ loads of homework (yupp, moms & dads have to help ensure that the homework are all completed) – Binky & Chick is done!
The card is gorgeous, courtesy of The World of Cross Stitching Issue 186.
But I can’t help feeling that maybe I should have used a 16-count aida, instead of a 14-count aida. Of course! That’s what is stated on the chart! What was I thinking? I really can’t imagine! I know I dislike stitching on anything smaller that 14-ct aida. Maybe that’s why… So, now I will have to mount this on a different card.:D Fortunately, the lovely card can still be reused.
Really, really, careless of me! And that’s not all. Looks like there are some frays at the top right hand side of the aida, although I stuck the aida to a fusible interfacing fabric. Maybe a fray check would have been better.
So, what to stitch next?
Being a Malaysian cross stitcher, stitching alone in Kota Kinabalu, can be quite challenging. It’s very difficult to get a local cross stitching buddy. That’s why it’s nice to find fellow cross stitchers around the globe, dedicated to finding time to do some cross stitching, a stitch at a time, despite all the happenings in their lives. I salute all cross stitchers!:D
