Precious Crafts

Surfing through the internet, I was delighted to find so many generous souls sharing their crafts and ideas with others.  So, taking from their examples, I am also happy to start this Precious Crafts site for the same purpose, with a hope that it would also bring happiness to others as well.

I am a mom involved in the legal industry with a secret desire to spend a lot of time cross stitching, crocheting, reaading and watching movies.  I don’t know why but a finished work, no matter how small, brings me a lot of satisfaction and joy.  I believe that crafts like beading, machrame, crotchet, knitting, cross stitch, sewing, etc, are Precious Crafts because not many people are involved in them anymore (as a hobby or profesion), unlike say, 20 years ago.  And in 20 years time they are really going to be precious heirlooms in our family, as well.  In my own family of 5 women (including me and my mother), I am the only one doing something involving needle and thread for fun.  But I believe that at least 1 person in each family is involved in some kind of handicraft, carpentry maybe?
